William Shakespeare
William Shakespeare was the most famous poet in the world. He was born in April 23rd, 1564 and he died in April 23rd , 1616.He was 52.
We don't know a lot about his life, and he only got known 400 years later.
When he was 18, William was married with a woman called Anne Hathaway, who was five or six years older. He had three children: Susana Hall, Hamnet Shakespeare and Judith Quiney.
In 1592 he became an actor and in 1616, when he died, no one knew his plays. His plays were collected and published after his death.
His sexuality cannot be determined. Some people said that he was homosexual, but he got married with a woman, so, they think that maybe he was bisexual.
His most famous plays, even now, are Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's dream and the Merchader of Venice but, people said that the most famous was Hamlet.
But 150 years after his dead, some people started to say that Shakespeare didn't write his plays and the works called “Shakespeare” weren't written by William Shakespeare. A reason was: he wrote about a lot of countries and he knew a lot about them , but he never left England.
